Even though the team paraded most of its senior players in the encounter, it was the duo of youthful defender Emmanuel John and Abdullateef Murtala that shone like million stars, with Emmanuel giving good account of himself in the rear to ensure Kwara United FC ended up with a clean slate.

Kwara United FC was supposed to engage Niger Tornadoes in a friendly match, but the Minna based side has another encounter in Kaduna, possibly in their new adopted home ahead of next season, which made way for Za’aj Football Academy to replace them.

Kwara United FC began the game on a promising note, but had to wait till in the 22nd minutes to score the opening goal through Alao Dambani, who had an advantage after a one-on-one with a defender, before getting the better part of the opposing goalkeeper.

Mohammed Bajibril and Alao Dambani added two more goals, to show total superiority over the talented but inexperienced Za’aj Football Academy team, to make it three goals in the first half.

The introduction of Golden Eaglets star, Emmanuel John and another junior team graduate, Abdullateef Murtala in the second half made the opponents look virtually ordinary, with a switch to the right side from John to Murtala resulting the youngster scoring the fourth goal of the match, with just a minute of his introduction..

The euphoria welcoming the goal was still in the air when he added the fifth, his second in the game two minutes later, to announce his readiness for the forthcoming season.

Ezekiel Haastrup also scored two goals in the encounter, to make it 7-0 for the almost ready Kwara United FC, for the 2021/2022 League season.

Emmanuel John, who is among the current set of U-17 national team, the Golden Eaglets ended up been the main man in the rear, thwarting all the efforts by Za’aj Football Academy, at getting a goal.

The seminar was attended by all players of.the team, it’s technical crew and other officials.
