Former Commonwealth Table Tennis Champion, Atanda Musa has appreciated Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for naming the Ultra Modern Table Tennis Arena after him.

The Table Tennis Legend expressed the appreciation when he paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bolakale Adisa Mogaji.

The former African Champion and Olympia said he was proud to be recognized by his home State.

Musa, who was accompanied to the Table Tennis Arena by the Executive Chairman pledged to contribute to the maintenance of the edifice.

While speaking to journalists at the Arena, Musa identified self discipline as essential ingredients that made him excel as a table tennis player during his days.

The Ilorin-born former African Champion advised upcoming players to make discipline their watchword as a key to success.

The former Cherubim and Seraphim Secondary School, Ilorin product promised to stage a table tennis competition in the state soon.

In his reaction, the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Mogaji described Musa as a unique, dedicated, humble and respectful table tennis player.

Mallam Mogaji stated that Musa came from United States to show appreciation to Governor AbdulRazaq for honoring him.

The Commonwealth Champion, who now works with United States based Sporting Organization, J P Morgan also thanked Mallam Mogaji for his contributions to sports development in the State.
