Members of the Gbonri Republic on Sunday, February 8, 2026, gathered in Ilorin to celebrate the 50th birthday of High Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka (ACC), the Nwachigoziri I, in a colourful and well-attended ceremony held at the stadium.
The event drew an impressive array of dignitaries, friends and associates from across different walks of life.
Among those present were Bayour Issah, Mallam Ademola Kiyesola, Jimoh Bashir, Bolatito Isaac, Ahmed Abdullah, Malick Olasunkanmi, Kehinde Onimago, Abdul Momoh, Madam Abiodun Glamour, Marry Chemeze, Adex Sports, Tosh Michael (representing Propel), and many others who came to honour the celebrant.
Speaking at the event, Bayour Issah described High Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka as “a God-sent blessing to everyone who has had the privilege of knowing him,” noting that ACC’s life of service, humility and generosity has positively touched countless lives.
He added that the celebrant’s consistency in doing good without seeking praise sets him apart as a rare leader in the community.
Malick Olasunkanmi, in his goodwill message, referred to ACC as “a mentor with strong faith and unwavering integrity,” stressing that many young people and professionals have benefited from his guidance and encouragement.
According to Malick, ACC’s ability to listen, advise and uplift others makes him a dependable father figure and role model.
Bolatito Isaac also showered praises on the celebrant, describing him as “a trusted, open-minded and sincere man whose doors are always open to those in need.”
He said ACC’s transparency and fairness have earned him respect across social and professional circles, adding that his calm approach to issues promotes unity and understanding.
In her remarks, Marry Chemeze hailed ACC as “a quality leader, a natural peacemaker and a man who is always willing to help others succeed.” She noted that the celebrant does not just talk about empowerment but actively supports people, especially youths and women, to achieve their dreams.
Tosh Michael, speaking on behalf of Propel, expressed deep gratitude to ACC for his continued support and belief in people and organisations striving to make a positive impact.
He described the celebrant as “a bridge-builder whose influence encourages collaboration, growth and progress wherever he goes.”
Ademola Kiyesola, in his own message, described ACC as “a unique and special person,” and prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to guide, protect and bless him with long life and good health. He said the celebrant’s simplicity, kindness and generosity make him easy to relate with and impossible to forget.
Also lending his voice, Abdul Momoh described High Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka as “a nice, easy-going and notable philanthropist,” whose quiet but consistent acts of kindness have changed many lives for the better.
In his response, High Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka expressed heartfelt appreciation to everyone for the love, goodwill messages and gestures shown to him. He emphasized that doing good should be a lifestyle, not an occasional act, and urged everyone to always strive to impact others positively wherever they find themselves.
He further thanked members of Gbonri Republic and all guests for celebrating him in such a grand manner. The celebrant also announced plans for an upcoming joint golden celebration tagged “50–50,” to mark both his and his wife’s 50th birthdays.
According to him, preparations have already commenced, invitations will be sent out soon, and each Gbonri member will receive special jerseys for both husband and wife to commemorate the historic occasion.
