I’m delighted scoring first hat-trick of my career -Stephen Jude

Kwara United FC’s hat-trick hero in the Matchday 17 encounter against Adamawa United, Stephen Jude has expressed delight at scoring the first hat-trick of his career, which was also the first of the ongoing season.

Kwara United defeated Adamawa United by five unreplied goals at Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex, with the club’s highest goal scorer so far, scoring three, and also bagging two assists, to bring his goals tally to seven.

Michael Ohanu opened scores for Kwara United in the sixth minute, while Stephen doubled the club’s lead in the 34th minute.

He scored his second, and the club’s third in the 60th minute, while his wonderful tap-in assist opened way for Ohanu to score his second in the 71st minute. Stephen made it three for himself and fifth for the club in the 93rd minute, to complete the rout.

‘I am so excited scoring the first hat-trick of the season, and also the first in my professional career. We are very lucky today, converting most of the chances we created’, the offensive midfielder said.

He pledged to continue to score goals that will help the team achieve it’s objectives this season, rather than pursuing personal ambition.

‘My target this season wasn’t primarily in pursuit of Highest Goal Scorer award, but to get a double digit score that will assist our general cause this season’, he averred.

He rated Kwara United as a team with young and talented players that is capable of ending the season on a high.
