Para athletes under the Kwara State Sports Commission have pledged to bury their hatchets and work together for the progress of the Kwara State Sports Commission.

The Para athletes, led by their spokesmen, AbdulWahab Amir and Felix Oyarinde pledged their unalloyed support to the Commission, and  to harmonise their members for more achievements at national competitions.

While apologising to the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji for the inconvenience their actions might have caused the Commission, they promised to henceforth, cross-check whatever information they have with the Commission to avoid anything that may cause disunity among themselves.

They solicited for employment to their members to ease their training and make life more meaningful for them.

Responding, the Executive Chairman explained that what the Commission stands for is to improve the standard of all athletes for the upliftment of state in the sports sector.

The Executive Chairman said that the welfare of athletes is always paramount to him as he encourages his athletes to improve themselves through dedication and hardwork.

It would be recalled that the para athletes have had several differences with the Commission on issues bordering on their welfare, competition allowances and others.
