As Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq clocks 63 today, the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, (SWAN) Kwara State chapter has joined other well-wishers across the world in celebrating with the Governor on the occasion of his birthday.
The Chairman of Kwara SWAN, Ayodeji Ismail, and the entire Executive of the Association described Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq as a game changer, whose unlimited creativity is already shaping sports in the state for better.
In a statement signed by the Association’s Secretary, Dare Kuti, thwy wish the Governor a year filled with good luck, good health, and much happiness.
Ayodeji commends the Governor’s doggedness in repositioning sports in Kwara State through the upgrade of facilities across the state and the release of funds for the prosecution of tournaments including the National Sports Festival and National Para Games.
In the congratulatory message, SWAN also applauds the Governor’s steps taken in prioritizing the welfare of those who have contributed to the Sports industry.
”We are aware of your efforts towards repositioning the sports in Kwara State, and as Sports writers, our priority is to ensure that you succeed in your strides towards bringing back the lost glory of Kwara.
”As we acknowledge your efforts towards reviving the sports facilities in the state capital, we are also appealing to you to ensure other local government areas have standard facilities to serve as backups”, Ayodeji stated.
