Kwara United Football Club rejoices with its Grand Patron, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman of the Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji (Dr). Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari as he turns 84 today, April 22, 2024.
In a statement signed by the Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, the club felicitates the former Board member of the Nigeria Football Association (now Nigeria Football Federation, NFF) for his profound dedication to the growth and development of the state, and his efforts at promoting peace, harmony, and unity.
The club equally thank His Royal Highness for his contributions and support to sports development in the state and Nigeria, as well as support to Kwara United.
“Our Grand Patron, you are a legend, and a respected leader, and we cannot but continue to identify with you and your legacies, which our club, Kwara United has continued to leverage on.
“His Royal Highness, you are a symbol of wisdom, and a unifying figure, and your reign has been with abundant grace, and your commitment to the development of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State at large is unprecedented.
“Your prayers and blessings for our darling club at the beginning of every season has kept is afloat, just as your Grand Patronship has improved us tremendously.
