Kwara TV General Manager praises SWAN over Media Games

The General Manager of the Kwara State Television Authority, Mr Olatunde Micheals has praised the leadership of the Kwara State chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) for sustaining the biannial Media Games in the state, noting that the exercise will further enhance bounding among practitioners.

Mr Olatunde Micheals stated this today, when the 2021 SWAN Media Games Committee, led by the Chairman of SWAN, Mallam Jimoh Bashir paid him a courtesy visit in his office.

Mr Micheals, who reiterated the commitments of the staffers of the Television House to participate actively in the forthcoming Games, explained that the championship will also serve as avenue for media workers to fraternize and foster harmonious relationship, to guarantee effective quality Service delivery.

He assured the Committee of the Corporation’s support towards a hitch-free Games, billed for the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin, between October 6th to 9th.

Earlier, the Chairman of the 2021 SWAN Media Games Committee, Mr. Bola Magaji, represented by Jimoh Bashir said the competition was initiated in 2011 to promote healthy living among media practitioners in the state, noting that this year’s edition is unique considering that fact that it comprises of indoor and outdoor sporting events. 

He sought for the support and effective participation of the station, in order to achieve the purpose for which the competition was established.
