MoniMak’s son thank Gov AbdulRazaq for appointing his Mum as Board member of Kwara Sports Commission

The son the the First Vice President of the Nigeria Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA), Mrs Monisola Yemisi Makanjuola, A1C Tomiwa Makanjuola has commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for appointing his Mum as Board member of the Kwara State Sports Commission.

Mrs. Makanjuola was named as the Kwara South representative on the Board.

Governor AbdulRazaq on Monday August 18, 2025, approved the reconstitution of the Kwara State Sports Commission with the return of Mallam Bolakale Adisa Magaji as the Executive Chairman.

Others reappointed to serve on the board are Alhaji Dele Abubakar (MON), member representing Kwara Central, and Hon. Abdullahi Yunusa Lade, member representing Kwara North and Mrs. Monisola Yemisi Makanjuola, who will be representing Kwara South.

In a letter signed by Tomiwa, who is the Airman First Class in the US Airforce, and titled: “Letter of Appreciation on the Appointment of Yemisi Monsiola Makanjuola”, on behalf of the other children, he described the appointment as a great honour to the family.

“​I am writing to express my profound gratitude and immense appreciation for your recent appointment of my mother, Mrs. Makanjuola, to serve on the Board of the State Sports Commission from Kwara South.

“This is a great honor for our family, and we are deeply thankful for the confidence you have placed in her.

“​Your leadership and commitment to fostering talent and promoting qualified individuals within our state have not gone unnoticed.

“This appointment is a testament to your vision for a progressive Kwara State, and we believe my mother’s dedication and experience will be a valuable asset to this important program.

“​On behalf of my entire family, we thank you once again for this incredible opportunity. We are truly humbled and grateful”, he concluded.
