The Kwara State Chapter of the Association of Nigerian Women in Sports (NAWIS) is set for its inauguration and National Academic Conference, billed for 15th to 17th December, 2020.
A Statement from the Kwara State Coordinator of the Association, Mrs Adebola Esan and Acting Secretary, Mrs Rofiat Olusola Dauda said the programme would afford the association to welcome and induct new members .
NAWIS is a voluntary and Non Governmental Organization, founded by Professor (Mrs) Bola Adeyanju on December 1991 in Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and recognized by the Federal Ministry of Sports, Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) and Africa Wowen in Sports Association.
The Inauguration will hold on Wednesday, 16th December, 20 at the Mandate Hall, Radio Kwara, Ilorin by 10:am.
The Objectives of NAWIS include, to facilitate effective women participation in sports at all levels, to create national awareness on the need for active sports participation among female athletes and to assist government, Federal, State, Sports Clubs or any matter directly associated with female in Sports.
