NNL25: NALCOMA commends match officials for good start, calls for sustainance of trend

National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA) has hailed the impressive start to the 2024/2025 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, commending the match officials for their uprightness, after Matchday One encounters.

The Club Owners equally saluted the clubs for ensuring that no record of violence was reported at all venues.

The 1st Vice President of NALCOMA, Engineer Muhammad Auwal Gotal, while appraising the League after the first round of matches held over the weekend in various centres across the nation commended members for their sacrifice.

According to Engr Gotal, who is the Chairman of Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi state, he pointed out that the enabling environment provided by the clubs assisted in the excellent performance of the match officials, even as he called for the sustainance of the culture.

Two away wins and seven draws were recorded in the Matchday One in the two Conferences, as the 36 clubs begin the search for a Premier League ticket. Both Kada Warriors of Kaduna and Sporting Supreme FC recorded away wins, over Adamawa United and Kebbi United respectively.

“The 2024/2025 NNL season started with the opening match on November 30th, 2024, in Abakaliki, where home side Abakaliki FC and Madiba of Lagos played out a two-all draw, and that set the tone for what was witnessed in subsequent Matchday One encounters.

Engr. Gotal tasked the NNL management for ensuring that they organised a League that is worth it.

“NALCOMA will want to task the NNL management on ensuring that we have a league to be proud of, as we will continue to support the league body to ensure a hitch-free season”, concluded the ebullient football administrator.
