Olusin of Ijara-Isin becomes Red Cross Royal Father

The Kwara State branch of Nigerian Red Cross Society has formally decorated the Vice Chairman of Isin Traditional Council, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius as Associate Royal Father.

The colourful ceremony, which took place at the newly constructed palace of Olusin of Ijara -Isin, saw the “Lion King” as he is fondly refered to by his subjects, expressing enthusiasm for identifying with humanitarian services which is one of the cardinal seven principle of the Red Cross Society.

The Monarch, who was in company of one of his Chiefs, Chief Afolabi  Olusegun stressed that the honour done him by the Humanitarian Organisation will continue to spur him to offer a selfless contributions to the people of his community and the world at large. 

He commended the Red Cross Society for their laudable efforts over the years, especially in the area of first aid, flood disaster, accidents, and other natural occurrence across the globe. 

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of Kwara State branch of Nigerian Red Cross Society, Barrister (Chief) R. O. Balogun eulogized the Kabiesi, the Olusin of Ijara-Isin, Oba Ajibola Ademola Julius for his relentless effort in putting smiles on the faces of the downtrodden, and his giant strides to put the Ijara Community in the global map through his communal efforts by providing basic amenities in the area of water provision, transport, agriculture, education and sports to enhance the growth of the community 

Chief Balogun, who was represented by Kwara State Red Cross Communication Adviser, Bayour Issah expressed gratitude to the Second Class king for the worm hospitalities given to the delegates which include Babaomo Emmanuel Ayodeji (Branch Secretary), Elder Raphael Ogedengbe (Finance & Property Management Adviser), Bayour ISSAH (Communication & Advocacy Adviser), Deacon Adewumi Emmanuel (Disaster Management Adviser) and Dame Evangelist E.M.O Adeokun (Divisional Development Adviser).

Others are Mrs C.T Adebimpe (Isin Divisional Chairperson),  Professor Oniyangi Shuaib Olanrewaju (Branch Training Officer), Mrs Okebunmi Yemisi (Commandant Detachment 4) and Mr Ojomu Idowu (member).

Meanwhile, the formal inauguration of the new Executives and Fund Raising ceremony will come up at a date to be announced.
