*Pledges furniture to Chairman’s Office

President of Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN), Francis Orbih has praised Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi for his generous contribution towards the completion of the Secretariat of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) in Kwara State.

Orbih commended Awoniyi’s commitment to supporting sports development and journalism, emphasising that such contributions go a long way in advancing the cause of sports in the country.

Orbih, during a recent visit to the SWAN Secretariat in Kwara, acknowledged the importance of the facility in promoting the work of sports journalists and providing a platform for the growth of sports reporting in the state.

“Taiwo Awoniyi’s support for the completion of the SWAN Secretariat is truly commendable. His gesture shows the value he places on sports journalism, which plays an essential role in promoting the achievements of athletes and the growth of sports in Nigeria,” Orbih said.

In addition to his praise for Awoniyi, Orbih made a personal pledge to furnish the office of Chairman Kwara SWAN Chapter.

“Good working conditions are crucial for any organization, and I am pleased to support the SWAN Kwara chapter by providing these furnishings. I believe that a well-equipped office will enable the journalists to perform their duties effectively and continue to contribute to the growth of sports,” Orbih stated.

Kwara SWAN Chairman, Ayodeji Ismail, expressed his gratitude to Orbih for the pledge and his unwavering support for the association.

“We are very grateful to Francis Orbih for his pledge. His pledge to furnish the office will greatly enhance our office and the work we do. We also appreciate Taiwo Awoniyi for his contributions to the completion of our Secretariat. It’s clear that the sports community in Kwara is growing, and with continued support, we will achieve even greater things.”
