Sokoto state donate 32-seater Coastal Bus to HFN

The Sokoto State Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, true to his promise, has donated a 32 bus coastal bus to the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN).

In a short ceremony held at MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, the Governor, represented by the state’s Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Bashiru Gorau, handed over the brand new bus to the HFN.

Governor Aminu Tambuwal, while thanking Prudent Energy and Services Limited for sponsoring the league and making handball thrive again, declared that Sokoto state are willing to host 2021 edition of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League 2020 and as the state will be the hub of handball in Nigeria.

He went further by revealing that Sokoto State is almost completing a world class Indoor Sports Hall and want the league to be staged therein.

Receiving the bus, HFN President Mr. Samuel Ocheho, on behalf of the Nigeria Handball Family, thanked Governor Tambuwal for all the support given to the federation.

He noted that the Governor made the promise of donating the coastal bus when he committed to continue to host the National Division One Championship for the next three years.

He also assured the Governor that the HFN will continue to do everything to grow handball in Nigeria with the support of Sokoto State, other states in the federation and corporate organisations.
