The leadership of the Kwara State chapter of the Sports writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has been encouraged to surpass the records of the past administrations of the association by setting a mark that will boast the image of the Association.
Renowned Publisher and CEO Top Star Publishing Company, Pastor Omotayo Joseph stated this while receiving the Executives of Kwara SWAN, led by its Chairman, Ayodeji Ismail in his office yesterday Thursday February 9, 2023.
Omotayo implored Kwara SWAN to identify with various schools in the state by reporting their sporting activities especially in the area of Inter-House Sports competition.
He said, “I want you people to do something that the past excos have not done, that will make it difficult for the next executives to surpass the record.
“Your impact can be felt when you identify one way or the other with the schools wether by helping them reporting their sporting activities”
Pastor Omotayo commended Kwara SWAan members for their contributions towards sports development through comprehensive sports reportage.
He promised to sustain the partnership with SWAN by giving the required supports when needed.
The Managing Director of Top star Publisher stressed that his various gestures towards sports development was to give back to the society that produced him.
In his remarks, the newly elected Chairman of Kwara State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, Ismail Ayodeji said the Association is quite aware of the Top Star’s contributions towards grassroots development in the state.
He noted the relationship with the publisher has been very robust that was the reason the newly Executives of the Association deem it fit to paid him contesy visit.
He revealed that SWAN is planning to organize capacity building and training its members, calling on partnership from various relevant organisations to make programme a successful one.
Kwara SWAN Chairman therefore, commended Pastor Omotayo on his laudable programmes in sports and investment in education which earn him recognition by his Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak.
