The President of Africa Beach Soccer and Coordinator of the Nigeria Beach Soccer League, Alhaji Mahmud Hadejia has reiterated the resolve of his team towards the development of Beach Soccer in Nigeria, especially through the league.
Addressing players and officials ahead of the commencement of the ongoing 2022 first round Nigeria Beach Soccer League in Ilorin, Alhaji Hadejia said that even though there are serious challenges being faced in the organization of the league, they are committed to the cause.
“People were having doubts when we started the league last year, but we were committed”, he averred.
“The commencement of the 2022 league is a confirmation that all is now a reality, and I will want to commend the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and especially, Hon. Yahaya Kwande for supporting the growth of Beach Soccer. I will also want to thank the Kwara state government, the State Sports Commissiion, Prince Oladimeji Thompson, Alhaji Abdullateef Adebowale Adedeji and all those who made it possible, foe their support.
Alhaji Hadejia said that Beach Soccer is gradually taking a new positive dimension, even as he thanked the players, whom he described as ‘heroes of our time’, for their sacrifice in keeping the game alive.
Alhaji Hadejia equally commended sponsors and partners, for their support.
He called for good conduct from the players and officials throughout the competition, while pledging a level playing ground.
