Amapro2020: Final tickets for grab as semi-finals hold today

NPFL All Stars had come from behind to defeat Pro-leaguers 2-1 in one of the keenly contested quarter-final matches at the on-going Amapro football championship.

The two sides, packed with players of note with years of experience made an encounter of stars against stars as they both shared the regulation half of the game in domination and possession.

Thomas Adeshina’s strike and Isiaka Olawale’s kick from the penalty mark canceled Toluwalase Ayinde’s first half goal for Pro-leaguers as the NPFL Stars now presses on to retain in the championship.

In another encounter, Non-leaguers defeated Ajaokuta FA 1-0 as they went ahead to defend the penalty scored by Jimoh Wasiu in the first half of the game, to book a space in the last four of the tourney.

La Planet Sports Academia, who also played one-all draw with NLO All Stars in the regulation time eventually gets through to the next stage, as they pick the semi-final ticket with the triumph from penalty shoot-out.

Another game in the series was also dragged into the kick from the spot affairs as ABS Ilorin FC lost to Jazzy Stars FA 3-5.

Titus Bulus of Jazzy Stars FA and Ebere Eugene of Ejele FA are having five goals each under their belt while Ebenezer Odeyemi of Pro-leaguers had also hit four goals to stay behind them.

The scene, as it has ever been, produced surprises as teams proved unbow to the ‘mighties’ and show genuineness of purpose to establish endearing impression in the minds of fans and supporters alike.

Today, 7th of November will be another day to witness unpredictable and exciting encounters as La Planet SA takes on Jazzy  Stars FA in one of the semi-final games, while NPFL All Stars also plays host to Non-leaguers .The matches are billed for 2.00pm and 4.00pm respectively at the Kwara Football Academy playing field.
