Bayour Issah bags Nigeria Babe Ruth League Sports Media Personality Award

Ace Sportscaster, Bayour Issah was yesterday, Wednesday April 30, 2025, presented with an award of Excellence by Nigeria Babe Ruth League, for his contributions to the development of the game.

While presenting the award to Bayour Issah, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sportspro International in Ilorin, Asagunla James PhD, the Roster Submission Administrator for Babe Ruth League commended him for supporting the development of BRLN.

Bayour Issah was among the 32 personalities recognised at the Babe Ruth League Inc. Award Night and Gala Night Fund Raising ceremony held at Igbobi College, Lagos on April 12, 2025.

He was presented with Sports Media Personality Award by Babe Ruth League Nigeria.

Babe Ruth League Inc. was founded in 1951 by Clarence ‘Babe Ruth’, a legendary American baseball player, and a group of local businessmen in New Jersey, USA.

The organisation was established to provide opportunities for young people to play baseball and softball, and to promote the value of sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play.

Since it’s inception, Babe Ruth League Inc. has grown into one of the largest and most respected youth baseball and softball organisation in the world.

With over one million players, coaches and volunteers participating in its programme each year, Babe Ruth Inc. has become a leader in promoting youth sports development and providing opportunities for young people to participate in baseball and softball.

Babe Ruth League Nigeria Inc. was unveiled in 2023, in the ancient city of Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The organisation was established with a mission to develop and promote youth baseball and softball in Nigeria. This year, the organisation is set to send a record-breaking six teams to participate in the Babe Ruth League World Series in the USA. Prince Imonikhe John Peter is the Country Commissioner for Babe Ruth League Nigeria.
