No fewer than thirty-two (32) teams in Ilorin and its enrirons have been pencilled down to participate in the 2023 Emir Of Ilorin Cup tournament.
The tournament is billed to get underway on Saturday, 14th October 2023, with the opening ceremony at the Queens Elizabeth School, in Ilorin.
Among the participating teams are Barrier Football Academy, Police Machine, Okaa Sports Football Academy, Corporate Ballers Football Academy, Kwara Poly Football Club, Oladumi Football Club, Adezzy Football Academy, One Love FC, Sunrise Football Club, Unilorin Warriors FC
Others are, COED ILORIN FC, Injectors Football Club, Royal Football Academy, ABS Ilorin FC, KWASU Football Club, Gaa Akanbi FC, El-Lador FC, Musty FC, Abraysports Football Club, Prince Ademola Foundation FC, Athletico Football Club, Ashab Football Academy.
Two teams with highest points from each group will progress to the next phase (second round)
The draws ceremony, where the groupings and fixtures will be released for the championship will take place on Saturday, 7th October 2023, inside the Conference Room of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Kwara State Stadium Complex Ilorin.
The tourney is organized to celebrate the eleventh (11) Emir of Ilorin Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, who clocks 28 years on the throne come 11th November 2023.
The final of the competition is scheduled to be played on the same date, November 11th, 2023.
