Former Kwara United handler, Coach Abdullahi Usman Biffo, has urged players and officials of the Harmony Boys to stay focused, disciplined, and maintain the right mentality as they battle to retain their Nigeria Premier Football League status.

Coach Biffo gave the charge during a surprise visit to the club’s morning training session today Wednesday April 29,2026, where he stressed the need for the team to sustain their momentum with three matches left in the season.

He reminded the players that football is a game of mistakes but advised them to remain professional enough to minimize errors, while also listening to tactical instructions and corrections from the technical crew.

According to him, this is a crucial stage of the campaign where the team needs maximum support from all stakeholders to remain in the top flight.

To further motivate the squad, Biffo pledged a sum of ₦1 million if the team wins or secures a draw away to Niger Tornadoes. He also promised to be physically present in Minna to cheer the team on.

Kwara United, currently 15th on the league table, will face Niger Tornadoes in Matchday 36 of the NPFL on Sunday at the Bako Kontagora Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 4pm.

Ayodeji noted that the Hard Talk series is part of the association’s strategic efforts to engage critical sports stakeholders and promote thoughtful conversations aimed at sports development.

For Coach Biffo, the platform provides an opportunity to speak to the Nigerian media for the first time in recent years, having travelled out of the country in the past year.
