The Electoral Committee for Kwara State Football Association has released the time table and logistics schedules for the forthcoming Elective Congress of the body, expected to hold on Tuesday June 13th, 2023, in Kaiama.
According to the release by the Committee, and signed by the Secretary, Kashim Mohammed Agaka, the time table has three three movement schedules for all the participants in the process, including stakeholders and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) representative.
The advance party, which is supposed to prepare grounds for the Congress in the Northern part of the state will arrive Kaiama on Wednesday June 7th, 2023, and will be led by the Secretary of the Electoral Committee, Kashim Mohammed Agaka, who also doubles as the Kwara FA Secretary.
The second batch, according to the time table, will depart for Kaiama on Saturday June 10th, 2023, and will by led by a Board member of Kwara State Football Association.
The last group will comprise of representative of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Kwara FA Electoral Committee members and all the delegates, ahead of Tuesday 13th June, 2023, when the Elective Congress will hold, from 9:00am
The departure date is Wednesday June 14th, 2023, after the emergence of new sets of executives.
Ten candidates have been cleared to contest for the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of the Kwara State Football Association.
The two chairmanship candidates cleared to contest during the elections are the incumbent, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa and Engineer Olaide Ahmed, while Bashorun Kayode Bankole has been cleared to vie for the Vice Chairman.
Seven other candidates cleared to contest for the Board membership positions include Hajia Segilola Alaya, Adeshina Bello, Wasiu Lawal, Tunde Sanni, Manzuma Maliki, Abubakar Ahmed and Salaudeen Jimoh.
