The Chairperson of the Kwara State Female Football Development Committee, Hajia Rukayat Segilola Alaya, has congratulated Aisha Falode and other Nigerians recently appointed into various FIFA Committees, describing the recognition as a testament to Nigeria’s growing influence and credibility in global football administration.
In a statement issued in Ilorin, Hajia Alaya expressed joy over the appointments, noting that Aisha Falode’s inclusion in the world football body’s committee further reflects her dedication, professionalism, and long-standing commitment to the development of women’s football both in Nigeria and across Africa.
According to her, the appointments are not only personal achievements for the individuals involved but also a collective victory for Nigerian football stakeholders, particularly women, who continue to make significant strides in the sport’s administration and development.
“I heartily congratulate Aisha Falode and other distinguished Nigerians for their deserved recognition by FIFA.
“This is a clear acknowledgment of their hard work, integrity, and passion for the game. It also shows that Nigerian football administrators, especially women, are being noticed and respected at the global level,” Hajia Alaya said.
She added that Falode’s consistent advocacy for women’s football development has inspired many young women across Nigeria to aspire to leadership positions in sports, emphasizing that her new role will further project the country positively in the international football community.
Hajia Alaya also commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under the leadership of Ibrahim Musa Gusau for creating an enabling environment that supports capable administrators to excel both locally and internationally.
