HFN pick date for National U-18/21 handball Championship holding In Ilorin

The Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have announced a date for the National Under 18/21 Handball Championship 2021 which is slated to hold in Ilorin, Kwara State.

In a statement made available by HFN Secretary General, Alhaji Maigidansanma Mohammed, the National Under 18/21 Championship will hold from March 25 – April 2, 2021 at the newly renovated handball courts in Ilorin.

Alhaji Maigidansanma Mohammed, while thanking Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State for his magnanimous approval for the state to host the Championship, also revealed that the HFN Technical Team will visit Ilorin for inspection of the facilities from February 24-26, 2021.

National Under 18 Male National Team commence closed camping ahead of 16th Male Africa Youth Championship.

The National Under 18 Male Handball Team are preparing earnestly ahead of the 16th Male Africa Youth Championship holding from March 16-21, 2021 in Agadir, Morocco.

Twenty five invited players are presently in closed camping since February 7, 2021 at the Aguiyi Ironsi Cantonment in Abuja, under the tutelage of experienced coaches, Emeka Joseph and Sabo Musa Oji.

Some of the boys were discovered in previous National Under Age Championships organised by the Handball Federation of Nigeria.

The National Cadet Male Handball team won bronze at the 14th edition of the youth continental Championship organised by the Confederation of Africa Handball (CAHB) held in Marrakech, Morocco in 2018.
