An All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart and philanthropist in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara state, Barrister Abiola Abdulkareem, popularly known as Jagunlabi, has floated a football tournament tagged Jagunlabi Unity Cup.
Abdulkareem in a statement on Thursday said the tournament is for the youth of Ekiti, Isin, Irepodun and Oke-Ero Federal Constituency of the state.
According to the statement, applications are invited from interested football clubs domiciled in any of the four Local Government Areas of the state.
The statement revealed that the tournament which is in its second year, has been scheduled to commence on Saturday, June 25 at the Osi Central Football Field.
Registration for the tournament, according to the release, will close today, Friday, June 24.
Abdulkareem explained that the date for the final of the competition will be announced before the end of the preliminary stages.
