The Chairman of Kwara State Football Association, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa has pledged to put in his very best to justify his consideration as a member of the newly constituted Match Commissioners Committee, even as he commended the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the opportunity.
Mallam Idris, popularly known as Thuraya was on Monday January 2, 2023, named alongside seven others, as Match Commissioners Committee members by the NFF.
Also constituted by the NFF are the Referees Committee, Disciplinary Committee and the Appeals Committee, all of which will be in place for the next two years.
He said that the appointment will spur him to do more for the development of the round leather game in the country and beyond, while thanking stakeholders for their support.
Thuraya said that the appointment and any other appointment that might come is for benefits of kwarans.
The Match Commissioners Committee has Alhaji Babagana Kalli as its Chairman, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi as the Vice Chairman, while the other members are Hon. Usman Maulud, Alhaji Aminu Mammaga, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa Thuraya, who is the Kwara FA Chairman, Mr. Anthony Ugwu, Otunba Mustapha Razaq, and Chief Kenneth Nwamuocha.
Heading the Referees Committee is former FIFA Referee, Mrs Faith Irabor, with Mallam Rabiu Umar as Vice Chairman. Others are Oba James Odeniran, Mr Abraham Zakowi, Mallam Waziri Furo Gawe, Mr. C. C. Chukwujekwu and Mallam Bello Abubakar.
The Disciplinary Committee is headed by Barrister J. B. C. Obikwelu, who is the former Vice Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association. Barrister Abdulrahman Abdulrahman is the Vice Chairman, and other members include Barrister Ibrahim Mukhtar, Barrister Wole Ademoyegun and Barrister Bello Galadi.
The last Committee, Appeals Committee has Barrister Gandi Umar Mohammed (mni) as its Chairman, with Barrister Martin Usen Effiong as the Vice Chairman. Members are Barrister Bemva Akortsaha, Barrister
and Barrister Bukar Muazu.
