The Kwara State Football Association has confirmed that it has received the payment of Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) Covid-19 palliative funds from the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Chairman of the Association, Malam Idris Musa Abdullahi on Sunday confirmed his board received the funds on Thursday following the NFF decision to release the relief packages.
He commended the President of the NFF, Amaju Pinnick for the timely disbursement which will assist all affiliated bodies in dealing with their various operations.
Malam Musa also assured all his members and concerned stakeholders in the state that his board will use the fund judiciously towards the running of football administration and development in the state.
It would be recalled that FIFA gave all it’s affiliated bodies funds to cushion the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Clubs, leagues, national teams, State FAs, affiliated bodies and other stakeholders benefitted from the largesse.
