Kwara FA congratulate Gov AbdulRazaq, other elected officers on election victories

Kwara State Football Association has sent congratulatory messages to the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, and other elected officers to the State and National offices, on their victories at the polls.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was last Saturday March 18th, 2023 elected for a second term in office, after defeating Shuaib Yaman Abdullahi of the PDP, Hakeem Lawal of the SDP and Professor Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem of the NNPP, winning in all the 16 Local Governments Areas of the state.

The FA Chairman, Alhaji Idris Abdullahi Musa, while describing the victory as unprecedented, added that the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state was on the backdrop of the performance of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, adding that he ran on his own records.

“The hand writing has been on the wall for all to see, and the result will not be a surprise to all those that are following the achievements of the Governor, which cuts across virtually all the Wards of the 16 Local Government Areas.

Alhaji Idris, popularly known as Thuraya said that the history and lists of achievements of the Kwara FA cannot be complete without mentioning the tremendous support of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who not only ensured that football in the state has a befitting Secretariat, but the support for the game to keep running effectively.

“We shall continue to be grateful to Your Excellency for your continued support to the development of sports, especially football in the state. Football appreciates Your Excellency.

Thuraya equally congratulated Senator Sadiq Umar from Kwara North and the two other Senators-elect, Mallam Saliu Mustapha (Kwara Central) and Senator Oye Lola Ashiru (Kwara South), and charging them to continue to invest in the empowerment of the youth through sports.

Also congratulated were the six House of Representatives members-elect and the State House of Assembly members-elect. He reminded them of their promises to Kwarans.
