Kwara FA visits Kaiama LG, set for grassroots football development

Kaiama Emirates has established a collaboration with the Kwara State Football Association in terms of  grassroots football development.

The latest decision was sealed during the FA visit to Kaiama Local Government Area, where the Chairman of the board, Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa met with the Emir of Kaiama, Mallam Muazu Omar, who explained the need to use football as a tool to engage youths within the community.

His Royal Highness described football as a unifying factor, which will assist in shaping the community and curbing social vices.

The traditional ruler similarly offered a royal blessing to the FA, while describing Malam Musa as a true son of the soil, whose track records have been remarkable.

The first democratically elected FA Chairman, reacknowledges the essentialities of extending grassroots development to Kaiama and other rural regions of the state which serve as one of the grey areas his board are determined to acheived.

An infographic detail of football development in the state was also discussed, including how the FA has reposition football governance together with the active participation of rural regions in football activities which was witnessed during the 2019 U-13 Governor’s Cup, where all the 16 Local Government Areas, were represented with Kaiama emerging runners up.

Presentation of the FA kits was also performed at the occasion.

Those present at the occasion, where the FA presented it’s kits branded by OwuSports, were Usman Umar Abdullahi, the Vice Chairman Kaiama Football Council,vwho financed the State League registration for Bokobarou Warriors from Kaiama LG.

Others are Chiroma of Kaiama, Mallam M. T Abubakar, Ashifat Mohammed (Chairman Kaiama Football Council), Umar Oba Coaster (Kaiama YSFON Chairman), Referee Abubakar Bawa and Coach Nurudeen.
