Kwara Ladies Football Club of Ilorin continues its preparations for the Division One Women Pro-League with another friendly game against Vision Academy on Wednesday evening in Ilorin, Kwara state.
Fresh from recording a 3-1 victory against Future Stars last Tuesday, the team succumbed to a 4-1 loss to Vision Academy at the football pitch of Queen Elizabeth College.
Chairman of the club, Mohammed Jimoh Daudu disclosed that series of friendly games have been lined up to fine-tune the clubs preparation for the new league season which will kickoff soon.
He expressed satisfaction on the level of preparations in terms of build-up games and solicited for support from stakeholders and other individuals to assist the club’s bid to secure promotion to the elite division, Nigeria Women Professional League.
Also n his reaction, Chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara chapter, Jimoh Bashir commended the management of the club for their commitments towards ensuring all hands are put on deck ahead of the season.
He assured of his association’s support towards the team, even as he added that SWAN will continue to ensure female football gets the needed attention in the state.
