Kwara SWAN to play NMA in friendly match for Covid-19

The football team of the Kwara state chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) will on Saturday, at the Main-Bowl of the State Stadium Complex, by 4.00pm, engage the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) football team, as part of their efforts to promote Covid-19 awareness.

SWAN, in collaboration with PhreeStyle Sport Limited plans to use the occasion of the Annual General Meeting of the Kwara state chapter of NMA to organise the Novelty match, to honour and celebrate the Doctors, Health Practitioners/Workers and Journalists for their selfless services to combat Covid-19 pandemic in the state.

The impact of Covid-19 was managed by the prompt efforts of our Doctors, the entire health practitioners, with the support of the Kwara State Government and respected media houses and journalists.

The tremendous achievement will be highlighted and celebrated at the occasion planned to appreciate everyone for their support, doggedness, sincerity, synergy with the government and the citizens.

Meanwhile, Kwara SWAN has appointed Coach Tunde Sanni Saliu, to train and prepare SWAN team for the promisingly crucial encounter. Coach Tunde Sanni was former Head Coach of Kwara United Football Club.

SWAN team will be coordinated by Ayodeji Ismail of Radio Kwara, while the Team Manager is Abdulwaheed Bibire of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA).
