Kwara United Football Club has congratulated its Number One Supporter, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on the successful and eventful celebration of five years in office.

Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq was inaugurated as the 20th Chief Executive Officer of the state, and the 7th democratically elected Governor on Wednesday May 29th, 2019.

In a message of congratulation by the club, they described his achievements as ‘huge and tremendous’, especially in sports and youth development.

“Governor AbdulRazaq’s reign has witnessed huge and tremendous improvement in youth empowerment and engagement in sports, which cuts across all aspects of improvement in the sector; infrastructural development, meaningful engagement of the youth, through welfare and support.

“It would be recalled that Governor AbdulRazaq raised the status of Kwara United Football Club in the 2019/2020 season, with the purchase of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) space of Delta Force, which ensured that the team campaigned in the top flight that season.

“Asides that, our Governor has continued to support the team, and that has assisted us to sustain our Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) status.

Kwara United is one of the very few teams in the top flight that did not owe its playing and non-playing staff both salaries and allowances, even during the Covid-19 shutdown.

The club said that the state is lucky to have a sports loving, result oriented and achieving personality as Governor, even as they pray for a successful completion of tenure for him.
