The players and officials of Kwara United Football Club have been urged to strictly adhere to the rules governing football and the framework of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
This call was made during a seminar organized by the Kwara State Football Association, focusing on league formats and rules today, Saturday September 7, 2024, at the FA Secretariat.
Experienced Referees, Afolabi Maruf and Kolawole Emmanuel emphasized the importance of discipline and professionalism among the players, urging them to follow the laws of the game and the decisions of referees, which should be respected over the reactions of spectators.
Earlier, Bashir Badawiy, General Manager of Kwara United, commended the FA for organizing the seminar and promised that the lessons learned would be implemented as the league continues.
He also thanked Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his support of the club.
A guest at the event, Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka, Director of Football at ABS FC praised FA for keeping clubs informed of the NPFL rules.
He encouraged Kwara United to strive for excellence in the current league season and aim for a league title or a victory in the President Federation Cup.
Kwara FA Chairman, Mallam Idris Musa Abdullah, highlighted that the training was intended to refresh the players’ knowledge on league rules and reaffirmed the FA’s commitment to promoting football in the state.
