The management of Kwara United Football Club extends their warm wishes to Taiwo Awoniyi, the talented Super Eagles and Nottingham forward, on the occasion of his birthday.
Taiwo Awoniyi, a distinguished figure known for his remarkable contributions to football development, particularly at the grassroots level, celebrates his 27th birthday today.
Equally, the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter has joined other well wishers across the world in celebrating with the player on the occasion of his birthday.
Kwara SWAN Chairman, Mallam Ayodeji Ismail, and the entire executive members of the association described Taiwo Awoniyi as a game changer, not only to Kwara State but Nigeria.
In an official statement from Kwara United Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, conveyed through General Manager, Bashir Badawiy, the exceptional efforts of this football icon and Nottingham’s prolific goal scorer in nurturing the sport at its foundation were duly acknowledged and appreciated.
Awoniyi stands as a true asset not only to Kwara but to the entire nation. His benevolence was vividly displayed through his generous support for the club’s goals in the final match of last season against Heartland of Owerri, where he contributed an additional N2m, as highlighted by Badawiy.
“We extend our warmest greetings to one of our own and a dedicated supporter, Taiwo Awoniyi, on reaching this milestone. May God bless him with many more prosperous years,”expressed the club’s representatives.
In a statement signed by SWAN Secretary, Dare Kuti, they wished the Nottingham Forest star a year filled with good luck, good health, and much more fruitful career at his club side and country.
Kuti commended Awoniyi’s discipline, diligence and courage, which according to the SWAN leader has graciously translated into transforming his club side.
In the congratulatory message, SWAN also applauds the Awoniyi’s steps taken in prioritising the completion of the Secretariat.
