Head Coaches and Media Officers of the 36 Nigeria National League (NNL) Clubs arrived Ikenne, Ogun State today, Sunday October 27, 2024, ahead of the 3-days capacity building workshop scheduled to hold from Monday October 28 to Wednesday October 30, 2024.
The gathering will also see to the slight adjustment of the draw for the 2024/2025 season.
The draw to be held on Tuesday, October 29 will be witnessed by Coaches and Media Officers of the clubs who are being taken to the classrooms for the workshop.
The NNL Board opted to rejig the draw following the complaints raised by some clubs after the Annual General Meeting held last month in Bauchi, and it’s being done after an agreement reached with Nigeria National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA), the umbrella body of clubs featuring in the league.
The President of NALCOMA, Godwin Enakhena applauded the NNL Board for the capacity building workshop initiative, which he says, will add value to the system.
According to him, “better Coaches and Media Officers will project the image of the league to attract sponsorship.”
He added that NALCOMA is ready for the commencement of the league, adjudged as the ‘Most Important League ‘
The 2024/2025 NNL season is billed to kick-off on Saturday November 30th, with a Star Match which is to be decided after the draw.
