Kwara United Football Club will tomorrow, at the New Jos Stadium, take on Plateau United FC in their very first match of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, with hopes of turning in a positive result.

With a more rejuvenated side, following the engagement of some tested players, Kwara United FC is expected to give it’s all in the opening game in the cold city of Jos tomorrow.

Even though they will be playing against a wounded team which lost out in the first round of the CAF Champions League competition, the Ilorin-based team looks determined to rise up to the occasion.

The Jos team will also be missing the services of key players for tomorrow’s encounter.

Kwara United FC started in the Nigeria National League (NNL) last season, before crossing to the NPFL, following the official takeover of the slot of Delta Force from Week 10, leaving the team to struggle through the season.

The team played in two Pre-Season tournaments, the Ogunjobi Gold Cup and the Dapo Abiodun Cup, in preparing for the season, and the Coach Abdullahi Biffo tutored side have shown enough promise to do well this season.

Still feeling their ouster from the continental competition, Plateau United will want to redeem their image in the NPFL, beginning from the match against Kwara United FC tomorrow.

Which however, makes the encounter promisingly crucial, as it will be a big test for the two teams.
