The League Management Company (LMC) on Friday confirmed the final 2019/20 league table, weeks after ending the league.
The league management body used the Point Per Game (PPG) methodology to decide the standings of the 20 teams in the season which ended abruptly at Week 25, due to Covid-19 pandemic.
After using the PPG, Plateau United emerged top of the table with 1.96 c-oefficient, while former African champions, Enyimba ended as the runners up with 1.80.
Rivers United are third though tied on the same co-efficient, with Enyimba (1.80) but LMC used Head-to-Head to decide who comes second.
Hence, Plateau United and Enyimba are two clubs to represent Nigeria at the CAF Champions League, while Rivers United and Kano Pillars will be representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup.
Kano Pillars are the 2018/19 Aiteo Cup champions but because the premier tournament in Nigeria could not hold this year, the defending champions were clared to represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
