Talban Ebira Land supports Kwara karate grading exercise

The 22nd edition of the grading exercise that will determine the position and belt confirmation of all the Karatekas in Kwara State will hold on Saturday by 10am, at a Sports Center in Tanke Iledu area, in Ilorin.

In an exclusive chat with newsmen, An Assistant Principal Coach of the Kwara State Karate Association, Coach Hakeem Lawal commended the efforts of amiable sports enthusiast for his immense support to the martial art game since he was appointed as a Patron of the Association four years ago.

This year edition, which will be the third that the Talban Ebira Land, Alhaji Hamza Usman, a former Special Adviser in Kwara State will sponsor, is expected to attract important dignitaries from Kwara, Kogi, Abuja and Lagos.

Coach Hakeem disclosed that the grading exercise will be supervised by seasoned Martial Arts instructors while special awards will be given to outstanding personalities who supported the Association morally and financially, from the beginning till the end of this year.

Coach Hakeem, who has won so many laurels for the state thanked Alhaji Hamza for always putting smiles on the faces of the athletes at the end the sports calendar year as motivation to spur them for podium performance in the nearest future.

About 50 Karatekas will be graded on Saturday to position them ahead of various national and international competitions.
