The final of this year’s edition of the Kwara State Football Association organized Super League soccer competition will be contested by House of Prayer FC and ASQ FC.
In the first semi-final decided yesterday at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin, House of Prayer FC defeated Oke-Kudu FC by 4-1,:while ASQ FC beat Kwara Football Academy 4-3 on penalties, after playing one-all at the regulation time, in the second semi-final match.
Oke-Kudu FC had earlier beaten Okaa Sports FC 5-4 on penalties after one-all draw at regulation time, in the first quarter-final encounter this morning.
ASQ FC also defeated Police FC by a lone goal, while House of Prayer FC outscored Skillz FC 3-1. Kwara Football Academy defeated Young Antlers 3-1 in the last quarter-final match, to book a semi-final meeting ASQ FC.
32 youth teams registered for the competition, which is a direct qualifiers for the preliminary rounds of the NLO Play-off.
The FA Chairman commended the teams that participated for sustaining the spirit of development, promising that the body will continue to organize competitions that will always give credence to all efforts by the stakeholders, at the grassroots.
He added that Executive Governor of the state, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is expected to be the Special Guest of Honour at the final, among other notable personalities.
He added that the FA is working on a suitable date for the final match.
It would be recalled that La Planet Sport Academia won the 2021 edition of the competition.
