A foremost aspirant to the Chairmanship position of the Kwara State football Association, Engr. Ahmed Olaide has promised to support ABS Ilorin FC in their bid to gain promotion back to the NPFL.
Speaking at the club’s unveiling ceremony of players for the new NNL season on Wednesday in Ilorin, the passionate football enthusiast commended the team creating opportunities for the youths.
“I want to specially commend the management of the ABS FC for keeping up to the standard. This event is another indication of the great future that lies ahead of the team and we are going to work together to return the team back to the glory days.
“On my part, I will like the team to enlist some of their immediate needs and will ensure that i support them in order to return back to the elite league in Nigeria,” he said.
He however charged the Management ,Technical crew and Players of the team to work in synergy in order to achieve their ultimate target.
Engr. Laide, who is also an NNL accredited Match commissioner has contributed immensely to the growth of football development in Kwara State.
He has declared his intention to contest for the position of Chairman of the State FA in the upcoming elective congress.
