The Kwara State Sports Commission has set up a Committee titled “Kwara Sports Network”, saddled with the responsibility to sourcing for sponsorship for the forthcoming Kwara State Sports Festival, scheduled to hold in September.
Addressing the Committee during the inauguration, the Chairman of the Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Mogaji disclosed that setting up of the Committee was at the instance of the Executive Governor of the State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq in the face of the current financial constraints.
The Committee has Mrs Monisola Makanjuola as the Chairman, while the Director of Sports Development in the Commission, Mallam Shehu Olusola will serve as the Vice Chairman.
Other members included Bayour Issah, Alhaja Segilola Alaya, Baker Hassan T, Jimoh Raimi, Hajia A. T. Adesoye, Shogo Sodunnke, Hon. Abdullahi Yunusa Lade, Yusuf Feruke, Olaiekan Olayonu, Jimoh Bashir and Bello Azeez as the Secretary.
Speaking after the inauguration, Mrs Makaniuola promised to rise up to the occasion and make sure the Committee discharge the task at hand diligently.
She assured that all efforts would be made to take Kwara sports to the next level.
