The Chairman of Offa Local Government Football Council, Alhaji Lawal Adebisi Wasiu has donated different sets of jerseys to the All-Stars family in the ancient town.
Alhaji Wasiu, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Bisi International Ventures (BIV), organisers of the annual Pa Michael Bolarinwa Olagunju and Mariam Arinola Olagunju memorial competitions made the donation on Sunday, at the Offa Township Stadium, Offa.
The donation, according to him, was another way to give back to the game and it’s development, and to encourage and sustain friendship among members of the All-Stars family.
Alhaji Wasiu, who is also Board member of Kwara State Football Association also said that the contributions are for youth and grassroots development.
According to him, Sports, especially football, is a unifying factor, even as he said that the involvement in it promotes healthy living.
While receiving the jerseys on behalf of All-Stars family, the Chairman, Lukman Alagbo commended Alhaji Wasiu for the donation, adding that the body will use the materials judiciously.
He also said that the family will continue to sustain the healthy relationship existing in the club, even as he charged others to emulate the gesture.
It would be recalled that similar donation was made by Alhaji Abdulrasheed Balogun, popularly known as Balinga, to the All-Stars FC in Offa, at the beginning of the year.
