With the 2021/2022 Nigeria domestic football campaign days away from taking off, the Kwara State Football Association, together with the State Sports Commission held a joint meeting involving football stakeholders.
Malam Idris Abdullahi Musa in his remarks, explained the agenda was to review the 2021 football activities and chart a way forward for the 2022 calendar.
He noted that an approval has been received from the League Management company (LMC) to use the state stadium for the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) having worked round the clock with relevant bodies to rescind the previous decision.
On his part, Chairman of the State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji commended the Executive Governor, Malam AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq for his dynamism and steadfastness in tackling peculiar challenges particularly in sports which led to the eventual approval by LMC to use Kwara stadium for the 2021/2022 NPFL season amongst other notable development.
He called on concerned stakeholders to work closely with the Commission in revamping the state sports sector and promise to create a working system for sports ecosystem.
Reactions, contributions and other notable suggestions were received from stakeholders present at the occasion, including Malam Ibrahim Bako, Alhaji Salman Fowomola, Coach Tunde Kazeem, Coach Amusa Adisa, Hajia Segilola Alaya, Coach Tunde Sanni, representatives of Kwara United FC, ABS Ilorin FC, Supporters Club and others.
