Kwara State Football Association has fixed the Local Government Football Council elections for between February and March 2023, tentatively, even as the body charges all the Councils to start preparations for the exercise.

The Chairman of the State FA, Mallam Idris Abdullahi Musa, who is popularly known as Thuraya said that the Football Council elections forms the foundation towards the State FA elections.

The call was contained in a Communique drawn at the end of the Board meeting of the FA held at the Kwara State Football House last Tuesday, January 24th, 2023, and signed by the Secretary of the body, Kashim Agaka.

Among the decisions taken was the dissolved of all Kwara State Football Association Sub-Committees, with immediate effect. Board members have been assigned to take over the responsibilities of the Committees pending the reconstitution of the various Committees.

It was agreed that all Congress members should send their E-mail address to the Football Association Secretariat, as messages will only be sent through E-mail addresses.

The gathering equally decided that dates for draws, fixtures and commencement of Alhaji Shehu Usman Mustapha (Wali of Ilorin) football tournament will be communicated later this month, as clubs have been urged to finalize all registration requirements.

The Annual General Assembly, which the FA could not hold last year due to the programme of the Federation Elections, will now hold on Friday 3rd February 2023.
