Kwara State Sports Council has congratulated Comrade Issa Aremu over his appointment as the
Director General of the National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS).
In a statement by the Director of Sports, Mallam Ibrahim Alarape Atanda described the appointment as well deserving, adding that his experience will make the desired change in the institute.
“I join all the staffers of the Council, management members and athletes to congratulate our Comrade for this well deserved appointment, and we pray for his successful tenure of office’, Alarape said.
“It was a great recognition for the accomplished Labour Leader and respected ambassador of Kwara and trade union movement in Nigeria and beyond”
Aremu was two-term Vice-President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), General Secretary of National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, Vice President of the Industrial Global Union, and General Secretary of the Alumni Association of the National Institute for Policy & Strategy Studies (NIPSS).
