Kwara United, Smart City to sign development partnership

Kwara United Football Club has entered partnership with Lagos based soccer outfit, Smart City Football Club, bordering on technical and commercial matters.

Revealing the partnership today in Lagos, the General Manager of Kwara United Football Club, Bashir Badawiy said that professionalism was considered in entering into the said partnership, which, according to him, will include player exchange, technical assistance and exploit of commercial values on different available windows in the business of the development of football.

The partnership had its roots from last season, when the two clubs engaged in friendly matches in Lagos.

Badawiy further confirmed that the partnership was agreed with the President of Smart City FC, a Nigeria National League (NNL) club side, Chief Anthony Adeyinka Adeboye, in Lagos, during the ongoing Aisha Buhari Cup competition.

Chief Adeboye is currently the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and members, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Committee member.

Kwara United FC resumed on Monday, ahead of the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, and is expected to play Smart City before the commencement of the season, to solidify the partnership.
