Poor run: Kwara United apologise to fans, as Gov orders gate thrown open against Plateau United

The management of Kwara United Football Club has apologised to the club’s Fans, Supporters and stakeholders over the team’s poor run in the ongoing 2023-2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Kwara United is currently placed 14th on 16 points, on the current league standing after three wins, seven draws and four loses, a performance which the management and followers of the team frowned at.

Some.of the fans and followers of the team expressed their bitterness with the team over the poor run, after the last home match against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday, which ended goalless.

As a follow-up, the management of the team, yesterday gave the technical crew, being led by Coach Kabir Sulaiman Dogo three matches ultimatum to turn around the fortunes of the club or face sanction.

In a message by the Club, and signed by the Chairman, Kumbi Titiloye, Kwara United apologised to the Fans, Supporters and stakeholders, and equally appealed to them to step up their support for the team, to further motivate them to perform better.

Kumbi said that the Fans, Supporters and stakeholders are the strength and pillar behind the team, adding that the team cannot perform to its maximum level without their support.

Meanwhile, Kwara Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has ordered that the gates of the Stadium be thrown open in their Matchday 15 encounter on Thursday, against Plateau United.

While delivering the message of the Governor, the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Mallam Bola Magaji pledged unalloyed support to the team, while also charging the team to reciprocate government’s commitment, by returning to winning ways.

He appealed to the followers of the team to troop out en masse, to cheer them against Plateau United on Thursday December 21st, 2023.
